Horses For Adoption

Blue Skies keeps
its doors open to horses and livestock that
need to be placed in loving homes.
Horses placed with
us for free are adopted out at no cost.
We have a list of
individuals looking for horses or livestock
and try to match these individuals with
horses and livestock that need homes.
We will take
animals with no questions asked and take
animals onto our property that need new
homes immediately or need immediate care.
We will not take animals, that a
veterinarian has recommended be put down.
Nor will we take in aged animals in pain or
that will likely live their lives in pain
even with medical care.
Adoption Fees:
The only adoption fees are for Vet and
Farrier Care. Receipts are given to the
adopter with the animals name listed on it
by the Vet or Farrier to prove these costs.
There are many
individuals who would be willing to take and
love an animal as a companion, broodmare
sound only, light riding sound only etc.
We place the
following animals:
Horses of all
breeds
Miniature
Horses
Donkeys
Sheep
Llamas
etc.
No cows or
birds
The individual
has the option to place the animal from
their farm using our contracts or choose to
sign ownership over to Blue Skies and we
will arrange for the contracts to be signed,
complete follow up etc.
For our
contracts to be valid the animal must be
placed through this program.
Our contracts
are fair and protect both the individual who
needs to place their animal and the
individual adopting the animal.
Each
individual animal has a specific contract
regarding the requests of the original
owner.
Some animals
may be bred, others due to age, illness or
past pregnancy issues may not.
